NaNoWriMo: Are you insane? Do you thrive under strict deadlines? Want to write a novel in 30 days? Then register at www.nanowrimo.org and join the novel writing fun in November and hang out in the many forum threads during the off-season.

Camp NaNoWriMo: If you’re still crazy, you can attempt to write novels in the months of April and July as well. Register here and join a virtual cabin for a more personalized novel writing experience. And there are s’mores! (Who doesn’t like chocolate while writing?)

Dean Wesley Smith: Want to learn how to indie publish? Read Dean’s Killing the Sacred Cows of Publishing series. Seriously – these posts are what inspired Indie Spirit Press’s creation and are a great source of inspiration, and information, for the writer looking to take control of her own career.

The Business Rusch: Another great blog series by author Kristine Kathryn Rusch that offers amazing advice to indie writers on everything from estate planning to promoting your work.

Writer Beware: The title is kind of self explanatory. This is a blog that warns writers about potential scams throughout the industry. We at Indie Spirit Press can’t stress this enough to indie authors everywhere – know the business and mind your own.
